Showing off Just Jade and Celebrate Sunflowers

I have 2 cards to share with you today that show off the pretty Just Jade In-Color and the gorgeous Celebrate Sunflowers stamps.

Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers, so I knew when I saw this stamp set and die set I would have to get it. I think it is always fun to try to use my supplies in less traditional ways to see what I can create. In this case I decided to stamp the sunflowers in Just Jade ink on Very Vanilla paper. I absolutely love the outcome. Soothing soft colors perfect for just about any occasion.

The first card was made with a 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch Basic Black card base, scored at 4 1/4 inches. The Just Jade cardstock layer is 5 1/8 x 3 7/8. The Very Vanilla layer is 5 x 3 3/4 inches. I used the Sunflowers dies to cut out my focal point of the card. The sentiment is from the Sunny Sentiments stamp set and is stamped in Memento Black. I added the Black and White Gingham Ribbon and added in some of the antique gold Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots.

The second card has a Crumb Cake card base cut to 11 x 4 1/4 and scored at 5 1/5. Typically when I use this size card base I have a portrait style card, but I changed it up this time and turned it horizontal! The Just Jade cardstock layer is 5 1/8 x 3 7/8. The Very Vanilla layer is 5 x 3 3/4 inches. I used the same large sunflower stamp and stamped the image randomly on the Very Vanilla paper. Then I cut out some of the pretty leaves that are part of the Sunflowers Dies set in both Just Jade and Very Vanilla. I used my layering circle dies to cut out circles and stamped a different sentiment from the Sunny Sentiments stamp set. I added in some looped Linen Thread behind the sentiment and finished off with some gold Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots.

So which card do you like best? I really like them both. It is fun to have a few ideas at once when working with a stamp set so you can see more of what you can make!
